March 2nd, 2008
Morning All

Hope your all well, please be aware that we have had to change the time for the squad training on the 9th March 2008. We will be running the training times from 12.00pm-2.00pm kata and kumite. The squad training will still be held at the same venue already stated on my last email, please see web site for full postal address.

We will then be holding a meeting (EAGM) from 3.30pm-5.00pm it is on this that we will be having talks about Wado Kai England joining the EKF (our national governing body) I would ask that all "heads of " be in attendance at this meeting, please if you could support this meeting as it's important. The venue for the meeting will be confirmed asap, it will be in the WOLVERHAMPTON area.

As you can understand we have had to reduce the squad training to accommodate the meeting and we are aware of a Budo course on at the same time. We also understand that people have long distances to travel and we all have lives outside of karate. I would like people to be back home at a reasonable time.

Squad Training 12.00pm-2.00pm

Meeting EAGM 3.30pm-5.00pm venue to be confirmed.

Kind Regards

Tom Clarke

Dear all,

Re: Scorpion Karate Academy Presents ‘Night of the Champions III’ – Saturday 24th November 2007, City Academy Theatre, Russell Town Avenue,Bristol 6:30pm-10pm

The SKA Night of the Champions is in its third year and as in previous years will celebrate achievements of Champions from the world of martial arts and other walks of life.

The main event this year will be a karate match, which on this occasion will be a showcase, match Wadokai England versus Wadokai Wales and therefore promoted as an international match. There will be two rounds, one early on in the evening and one a little later.

In previous years the England team has been represented by the Scorpion Karate Academy and have defeated a Kickboxing Team in year one containing a World Champion and a Taekwondo Team in year two containing European Champions and therefore we want to make it three in a row. We have decided to make this a Karate only match on this occasion.

The event will be held on a raised stage in the venue Theatre.

The England Team will be selected from members of the current Wadokai England Kumite Squad. There will be a mixed team of 10 competitors as follows: -

    • 2 x 12yrs and under mixed (boy or girl)
    • 1 x 13yrs-15 Girl
    • 1 x 13yrs-15yrs Boy
    • 1 x 16yrs-17yrs Female Cadet
    • 1 x 16yrs-17yrs Male Cadet
    • 2 x 18yrs + Women
    • 2 x 18yrs + Male

The show will be supported by a host of demonstrations and non-martial arts performances such as dance and music, which provides a full family night out. Interviews with past champions will also take place. Please see attached poster.

The ticket price £10.00–general seating, £25.00-Stage side seating and £35.00–family of four. The last show was a sell-out therefore it is advised to obtain your ticket(s) early by contacting Winston Williams on: 07810526054

Hope to see you there

Best Wishes

Winston Williams
National Squad Coach to Wadokai England
Chief Instructor to the Scorpion Karate Academy
